The Native Plant Society of Texas offers valuable resources to help identify plants native to San Antonio and the surrounding areas. The list includes approximately 135 native species found in Bexar County and its neighboring regions. This section of the website will provide detailed resources on how to identify and propagate these plants, which have naturally adapted to the local environment. As a result, they require minimal inputs such as water and fertilizer to thrive. I’m also working on an inventory of plants and seeds for sale, but I really want to share how easy it is to grow these plants yourself. It’s not hard at all, and I’m here to help you along the way.
